I know its something I ate because the first day I was feeling
feverish, and tired today its the third day and I’ve got back my
energy I feel fine except i still have the diaharrea. I’ve been eating
toast, and mainly a bland diet. I’ve taken Kaopectate but it doesn’t
work. I would appreciate your help.

You need to see a doctor if it’s been three days. Dehydration can hit you faster than you even know. Debbie

Well your doing everything right. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids to keep you from getting dehydrated and keep taking the Kaopectate as prescribed on the bottle. be happier own a pitbull

Take some immodium aka loperimide and see if that helps. If that doesn’t help after 2 doses then see a doc to find out what is going on. You should not be having diarrhea for 3 days if you are using Kaopectate. Get the Immodium and try that for two doses and then head to the doc if that doesn’t help. You could be getting dehydrated. mlgable

Do the BRAT diet. This is what our family doctor told us when my kids had the funk. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast.

If nothing else, it will bore you into getting better! rik e

Start off by drinking Gatorade. Doctors will often recommend Pedialyte, but Gatorade is basically the same thing, tastes a whole lot better, and is a lot cheaper. And don’t just drink a little, but don’t overload yourself, either. This will help replace a lot of the electrolytes and fluids your body has been losing.

Second, try taking Immodium or the store brand of it. Usually one dose of 2 tablets will do the trick for 95% of diarrhea cases.

If the Immodium doesn’t work after 2 doses, then consider calling your doctor. You could have a stomach virus as opposed to food poisoning, since that normally causes vomiting first. Garylian

If this started more than four hours after you ate, it’s almost certain NOT to be food poisoning, but a viral infection. More than anything when you have diarrhea, you need to stay hydrated; something like Gatorade is excellent, as it helps replace minerals and electrolytes that you lose when you throw up or have diarrhea. Your body is still getting back to normal, so give the diarrhea some time; eat normal foods as you feel ready to do so, as long as you’re not nauseated. If the diarrhea persists for more than 72 hours, it’s time to see your doctor. dances_with_unicorns1955

You should take Immodium and drink a lot of water. Go to a doctor if the problem still persists, that is if you can make it there before crapping your pants… Mike

I know how terrible you must go tru!! For diarrhea–I will take apple cider vinegar. I chose BRAGG’s APPLE CIDER VINEGAR. this is a good brand because it is raw and undiluted. PECTIN,the water soluble fiber in the apple cider vinegar, will help to absorb water in the intestines and provide more bulk for the stool. Also, intestinal bacteria transform pectin into a protective coating which sooths the irrated lining. Take the natural apple cider vinegar–2 teaspoons to 8 ounces of water to help eliminate diarrhea. It helps me.So can you!! eagerbeaver88
