Id start now if you lose it early it doesnt matter

  2. Holly Golightly says:

Start NOW! Limit your calories to 1200-1400 per day of mostly fruits and vegetables and lean protein like salmon and lean chicken. Go running for 30 minutes 5 days a week. Congratulations!

  3. ghost28 says:

to diet you eat less and more more or you can do something like the slimfast diet , that works quite quickly.

  4. Muschi says:

Start today. Eat smaller meals more often during the day, this keeps up your metabolism and will burn fat. Also exercise of course helps, drink lots of water.

I depends how you want to loose the weight. When I go on a diet i just eatfruit and veg for days and drink water. But it depends on your metabolism, i loose wight really quickly though. But, to be on the safe side maybe a month and a half before the wedding. That would guarantee the weight loos, i think! Hope i helped and good luck hun x

    Right now!

It’s easier to keep weight off than it is to lose it…

Avoid hunger, eat more but smaller meals and drink plenty of water laced with fruit juice. Walk more and take up gentle exercise like Pilates.

Cycling and swimming are good too

  7. Javacrutian says:

Start now. It’s easier to keep weight off once you’ve reached your target. Weddings are a source of a lot of stress for women and you don’t want to add more by trying to lose around 7 lbs last minute.

I’m 5′4 also & WISH I weighed 9 “stone” (126 lbs). Anyways, I don’t see if 1/2 stone (7 lbs) affecting your dress significantly, so I would do it 2 wks beforehand.
I am on a protein diet & lost 10 lbs the 1st week. But everyone’s different & you may not lose that the 1st week (typical is at least 1/2 stone though).
If you can, check out “Idiot-Proof Diet” by Neris & India (who are also british). If you don’t feel like reading, here’s a quick run through.

    NO carbs
    veggies
put as much cheese & dressing (not so sugary dressing) on your salad
no alcohol the 1st 2 wks (not that you’ll be on it that long)
    meats & eggs
    water (at least 8 glasses)

    Good luck & Congrats!

Now.. but don’t start a ‘diet’.. just start healthy living.

Here are my general healthy living tips:

This is an answer I give to anyone who wants to lose weight. That might sound bad, but I give it because it would work for EVERYONE. I understand your wish to lose weight as I had it myself. No matter how much I tried to love my body, my weight kept bothering me. That is my honest experience. Having said that, I’m not implying that you SHOULD feel that way, but what I AM saying is that if you DO feel that way, doing something about it feels great!

The biggest and best piece of advice I can offer you: BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. And forgive yourself when you digress from your ‘rules’, if you end up having any.

    2. Don’t have strict rules! If you are craving something, first, think: am I hungry or thirsty? If so, eat or drink something healthy. If you are still craving it, then eat a small amount. i.e. One to two small cookies. And/or stop when you are SATISFIED, not full! Full is bad. Think of full as an overload. Satisfied is just enough. And when you get hungry again, eat again! ASAP. Eat smaller meals more frequently. Your body will adjust.

It is so psychological. I am 5′2 and lost 20 lbs by believing that I wasn’t going to die if I ate less. I just believed for some reason that I needed the fat to stay or else my body would die. In truth, as long as we keep nourishing ourselves, our body doesn’t need or want that extra fat.

    3. Try to stay away from whipped cream, but again, do it if you are really craving it and can’t get it off your mind. Diets are not about saying NO they’re about saying YES. Or at least about saying yes more than no.

    4. REDUCE YOUR PORTIONS!! So important. When you are full, STOP! Your body will get used to the new portion size over time. Your eyes also need to get used to the new portion size. Leave food if you are full.

    5. See food as something to give you energy and nourishment only. Not as something to make you feel better. Taking a walk, talking to a friend, relaxing can make you feel better. Food will have very little impact and as you may know can make you feel worse.

    6. Try to picture the food as it enters your stomach. Lettuce looks much better than a chocolate bar doesn’t it?

    7. Don’t shy away from carbs, but definitely try to avoid WHITE carbs and choose multigrain/whole wheat. It will make you full and keep your nourished.

    8. If you were thin when you were younger, try to think that you are supposed to look that way. Or picture you but thinner and think that that is how you are meant to look.

    9. I am definitely in the camp of freedom to eat what you want when you want (but choosing healthier foods a lot more often). If you are looking for a ‘food schedule’ I am not a believer in that sort of thing. I believe we should restrict ourselves as little as possible.

    10. I really don’t recommend diet pills. Who knows what harm they can have on your body that hasn’t been studied yet?

Those are some pieces of how I reached my goal. Good luck to you and feel free to message me if you have q’s!

Here’s another tip: Don’t limit how late you eat at night. Have the general goal of eating more during the day and less at night, but if you’re hungry and it’s past whatever 7 or 8, eat. Pick something healthy if you can, but if you don’t, it’s not going to make you gain a pound of weight! As long as we only eat when we’re hungry, and stop when we’re full, that is fine! When I tried to limit myself that way, it always failed.. and I usually ended up breaking it within a week. Guess why? Because that rule was all about saying no. And we’re trying to stop with that no talk.

You should’ve started a couple of months ago, girl. Lots of cardio, strength traingin, fruits, veggies, lean protein, no sugar, no sodas (not even diet), water, water, water oh and MORE cardio.

  11. 36ID says:

All excellent advice, to which I’d like to add one thing that will definitely accelerate your weight loss, and you could keep the carbs if you’re burning it through exercise:

Cut out all sugar and salt!
Sugar is stored as fat and salt retains more water in your body than you need.

i would start now. i would do 10 sit-ups and crunches, push-ups everyday. then do 1 more each day, so the next day you do 11. then i would run bout half a mile every other day. buy a platies video and do it for and hr on sun and sat. just eliminae junk food. throw it all out of the house. concentrate on getting the right amount of servings a day.

  13. prinfab says:

For losing weight for a wedding I would start dieting now since your wedding is coming up and you may do pictures or go to parties for it beforehand. Also you may need time to alter your wedding dress.

I would go on something like Jenny Craig, or Weight Watchers so it would be easy to remember how to stay on it and they are reputable weight loss places.

  14. nova_queen_28 says:

I have no clue what a stone is for weight or what 1/2 of one equates to. But it is never too early to start dieting and its certainly much healthier if you spread any weight loss out over time rather than try to crash diet.

I joined weight watchers before I was even engaged and have been trying to lose weight for my health for some time. It is going slowly and I’ve had my times where I haven’t stuck to the plan and gained some weight back. But their program is awesome.

  15. Sabrina says:

Start an exercise regime soon, that way you can tone up healthily.

  16. satter127 says:

Why not start now? The more time the better.

  17. Elaine S says:

I would start at the end of February because you will be experiencing stress as the day draws closer, and it may be more difficult to stick to a diet. For now you can start by trying to cut back on any soda drinks, and fast food restaurants as their foods are full of chemicals including high fructose corn syrup that prevents weight loss. Also avoid coffee and substitute tea. Refined sugar is the other ingredient in which to avoid. I tried this and also used Stevia a natural sweetener not a chemical like all of the other substitutes. I read all labels in my grocery store to make sure the sugar level was below 6 grams. Limit your starches or white vegetables and white flour. Eat a lot of green vegetables. You could follow this even up to the wedding and on. Congratulations, on your wedding. I’m sure you’ll see results as I did, and your efforts will be blessed.

Losing weight is about lifestyle change. Who wants to diet forever with on one of the crazy fad diets out there? If you know the kinds of foods to eat, the times to eat, and how often to eat, your losing weight will be a snap. Doing these things should be routine and part of everyones life practices.

Avoid eating Salad… It will leave you hungry!
Increase your water intake… It detoxifies and makes you feel full.
Eat smaller meals more often… It will give you longer lasting energy!
    Exercise… DUH
You don’t have to avoid all fats… You body does need some fat to work properly.
